Categories of Membership
Membership is open to teaching-staff members of higher education institutions in Sri Lanka who are committed to the attainment of SLAIHEE's Vision, Mission, Aims and Values. Three (3) categories of SLAIHEE membership are available as;
- Associate (referred to as Associate Member) ? open to permanent university teachers
- Full (referred to as Member or Full Member) ? open to permanent university teachers who are currently / actively involved in the practice and / or dissemination of educational development activities in higher education through having obtained a teaching or teaching/learning support post-graduate level qualification during the preceding three years from a SLAIHEE approved course with a reflective practice component, or, are currently engaged in delivering an approved teaching-learning enhancement course. Persons having such qualification/s three years prior to membership application are required to show evidence of continuous professional development (Guidelines for this purpose are available with SLAIHEE)
- Honorary Life (referred to as Honorary Life Member) - awarded to SLAIHEE members who have made a significant contribution to the development of learning, teaching or/and management/administration capabilities in higher education in Sri Lanka.
Membership is initially applied for, and thereafter renewed annually on a calendar-year basis, on the Membership Application/Renewal Form (please see, and use, downloadable Membership Application/Renewal Form).
